Mediterraneo Vista

The Problem

Mediterraneo Vista was a floating restaurant concept that needed a brand identity that reflected its authentic Italian cuisine, appealed to locals and tourist alive, and stood out in a competitive dining scene. I was tasked with building the identity from top to bottom, from logos and menus to the look and feel of the restaurant.

The Process

1. Understanding the Client

I started by reading the brief of the restaurant concept to get an idea of the overall environment and type of experience that would be expected.

Key brand traits:

  • Waterfront dining
  • Clean and elegant
  • Embrace the Mediterranean Sea

This helped me form a base for the kind of brand that

I wanted to create.

2. Research & Exploration

I started with a mood board to build an overall idea of what this restaurant would look like. I used this to decide what kind of brand identity would fit it.

I searched for inspiration exploring:

  • eclectic styles
  • light color schemes
  • colorful accents
  • oceanic feel

From there, I began drafting logos and until I found ones that felt right.

3. System Development

Once the primary mark was selected, I expanded it into a complete identity system including:

  • Logo variations
  • Typography
  • Defined color palette
  • Iconography
